OUR TEAM

Ross and Caro lead the Mobile Expeditions Team, and come from a long family legacy of safari and conservation. Both grew up in Kenya, exploring and discovering Kenya’s rich natural history and biodiversity as youngsters. They met as teenagers, and among other things, shared a love for Kenya’s wildlife and wilderness. They spent years traveling throughout Africa together, and guiding walking and mobile safaris in East Africa. Their two boys, Charlie and DanDan, have been raised with the same passion for safaris, adventure and animals, and often join in on safaris. Charlie received his KPSGA Bronze guiding certificate at just 13 years old and is now a fully qualified safari guide.

An expert and close-knit team of staff work tirelessly behind the scenes in Roca Camp. Most of the team at Roca are local Maasai from the area and a few old faithfuls from the original mobile safari days. Philip Mclellan assists us with managing Roca River, with plenty of experience in the hospitality trade, he has managed and hosted high-end, established Safari Camps in stunning wildlife reserves and conservancies and Manda Bay, another Roberts Beach Resort on the Kenya Coast.

James Ouwor effortlessly handles the Reservation office, while Melissa Shepherd and Honour Schram De Jong of Honour Way Marketing handle our marketing departments.
